At least two people were tragically killed Wednesday morning in a devastating fiery crash involving an 18-wheeler on Interstate 10 near Highway 6 in west Houston.

The crash occurred shortly before 5:00 a.m. on July 1 in the eastbound lanes of the Katy Freeway, Interstate 10, near State Highway 6.
While authorities have released limited details about what caused the collision, preliminary reports indicate that an 18-wheeler overturned onto a passenger vehicle, causing the vehicle to catch fire.
According to police, both the driver of the 18-wheeler and the driver of the passenger vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
